Zoomer Featherstone | Male | Domestic cutie (DSH) |
Rescue Story:
My BFF and I needed a new home as our owner was unwell and unable to care for us any longer.
Date of Birth: August 12, 2020 (est)
Energy Level: Medium
Size (adult): Medium
Adoption Fee: Zoe's special! Donate whatever you wish!
Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
Probably not. But maybe if a senior who will leave me completely alone.
Good with Cats? Bonded Pair
I must be adopted with my bff Zoomer. It may be best we are only cats.
Good with Kids? No
They would probably scare me.
Critter Twitter:
I am one handsome cat who is very shy. Once settled in, I become more playful and, I really enjoy being petted. I am very curious and I just have to check out what you are doing. I sometimes will stretch and roll around to move instead of walking. I mean, sometimes it's just too much of a bother to get up. No fat jokes allowed! I have a very soft purr, you may not even hear it, but I swear I am happy. I love watching the birds outside the window with my brother, and we can't wait to find our forever home. #shybutawesome #truerescue
About my Behaviour:
I must be adopted with Chester as we are bffs. We get stressed if we are apart, especially initially, but once settled in, we are more inclined to do our own thing from time to time. Sometimes even though you love your brother, you need your alone time too.
We must go to a home that is very calm and is very understanding of how shy we are. We will take quite a while to settle in and, you must be ok with that. We may never be lap cats, but, there's always the potential of it. Cats like us tend to bond very strongly to one or two people in the house. It just takes time. Slow pets and slowly increasing it over time is essential, otherwise, we would just hide all the time. Using wand toys will help with our confidence and feliway optimum to.
We might be ok with a calm senior dog who will just leave us alone. It would probably be best that we are only cats given our very shy nature.
How’s my Health?
I am fully vetted. I must only be fed scheduled meals, three times a day (morning, after work and before bed). This will help make our bond strong more quickly. It's possible to do twice a day and just leave out a tiny bit of dry, but not alot as I will get fat. Yes I stress eat. No, you can't judge me. I am currently on gabapentin for my anxiety. I should stay on it for at least a month after adoption to help me settle in more quickly. It's fairly cheap and Zoe's will provide whatever medication we have left at the time of adoption.
