Winston Peabody | Male | House panther (DSH) |
Rescue Story:
I came from a litter of 5 kittens found on a farm with our mom. We were brought into Zoe’s and were all sick. Unfortunately, my 4 littermates were too sick and crossed the rainbow bridge. My momma had seemingly recovered but after surgery for an injury, she also crossed the rainbow bridge. So I was left alone orphaned at about 2 weeks old and needed the help of volunteers at Zoe’s to bottle feed me and help me get healthy and big. Now I am ready for adoption!
Date of Birth: April 1 2021 (est)
Energy Level: High
Size (adult): Medium
Adoption Fee: $170 for a handsome house panther like me. Deal of the century!
Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
Only calm cat friendly dogs who won't chase me, with proper introductions of course.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
I must be adopted to a home with a younger cat friendly cat.
Good with Kids? Unknown
Older cat savy kids would be best if any. I'm still learning to play without claws and teeth.
Critter Twitter:
I am Mr. Confident. I settle in pretty quickly and I am quite entertaining to say the least. I make the goofiest expressions and I love to climb up high things and play nonstop. But once tired I do enjoy cuddling. I am independent and am happy to find toys with to play by myself. But I do really love to wrestle and chase the resident kitty. It's so much fun! I am generally close to where all the people are, and after a good meal I settle right up to my favorite person for a few hour cat nap. I am quite vocal and will let you know when I am hungry. #sweetie
About my Behaviour:
I am a feisty boy who is still learning to play without claws and teeth. I am getting better but I still view fingers and toes as things to gnaw on so it's important to help me understand that they aren't. Older kids would be best if any, no young kids sorry.
I would do best with patient, calm very cat friendly dogs with no prey drive. I prefer to be ignored, but when I don't wanna be I tend to go right to their face. Mostly to try and figure out what they are doing.
I do need a home with another young cat friendly high energy cat, with proper intros of course. My foster has a one year old cat and I love to play with my foster sibling, we wrestle and chase but I can be even too much for him. I would be way too much kitten for an older cat for sure. I do not take no for an answer and demand that they play with me. A senior kitty wouldn't be ok with that and couldn't keep up with my energy for years to come.
I need lots of tall cat trees and/or cat shelves as I love to be up high. I'm a house panther after all!
I demand all the attention and really need a home that is happy to give it to me.
I still like to suckle on things to self soothe, I was a bottle baby after all.
How’s my Health?
I am fully vetted.
I nor any kitty can be free fed as I will eat everyone's food. People food also can not be left out as I will eat it to. I will need gradual change to any new food as I have a very sensitive stomach (hence the need to be careful about food being left out).
