Rescue Story:
I was brought to my previous owner after having puppies and a bad uterine infection. The nice people at Zoe's helped my owner get me feeling better. My previous owner really loved me, and I was part of her pack for a year and a half. The last couple of months, though, were stressful, and I wasn't getting along with some of the smaller male dogs. My owner made the difficult decision to surrender me to Zoe's so I could find my new furever home. My owner loved me very much and was sad to see me go.
Date of Birth: Approximately 2013.
Energy Level: Low-Medium
Size (adult): 54 lbs but my ideal weight is 40 lbs.

About my Behaviour:
Since being in foster care I have shown that I am a sweet, cuddly lady. I will need to be adopted to a home that already has a dog. I am house trained, walk well on a leash, know some basic commands like sit, wait, drop it, shake a paw and am starting to enjoy car rides. It usually means I'm going somewhere fun! I respond well to my name and LOVE playing tug- it's my favourite! I am very obedient when I play and will drop it when told. I am a bit of a princess and can be a picky eater, but I am learning that meal time is when I should eat! I really like treats and because of this I have put on some pounds. The extra weigh makes it hard for me to run and keep up with the other dogs at the park so I am looking forward to getting in shape. Outside I love to run and play fetch and explore. Inside I love to curl up UNDER the blankets on the couch and snore. My foster mom and dad tell me I'm a "sweet lady" all the time! I think I'm pretty sweet too and would love to meet you if you think we would make a good match. I would love a home with another doggy friend and one that would be okay with me being loose in a part of the house because I'm just learning this crate thing and I'm not a huge fan. Also a couch with a blanket is a must!
