Critter Twitter:
Hi! My name is Sapphire and I came to Zoe’s with my puppies in July. All my puppies have been adopted now, but I’m still looking for my furever home. Everyone that meets me falls in love with me - probably because I am such a sweet girl who loves all the humans! I love being around my foster mama, following her around the house from room to room and laying my head on her lap while she works. I am very intelligent and pick up new commands quickly - I’ve already learned how to sit, shake a paw and lie down. I am working on stay and drop it (so I can play fetch!) I am also pretty much the perfect houseguest - I am 100% housetrained, very quiet and calm indoors and never destroy anything (except my own toys of course)! I am very gentle and patient with my human even when I have to do things I don’t like… like wipe my paws or go for car rides. My favourite things include getting belly rubs and having guests over so I can be the centre of attention and entertain everyone by bringing out my squeakiest toys! #wherearethehumans #lovebug
About my Behaviour:
Because of my rough start in life, I can be anxious when faced with new and scary situations outside the house. I am currently taking fluoxetine to help me adjust to this new life in the city (my medication is put into my treats and I love taking it)! And I look to my humans for reassurance, stability and patience to help me be the best pup I can be.
I am reactive with other dogs but I am muzzle trained. I need a home where I can run around in the backyard and not have to be faced with too many dogs on a daily basis. I am also reactive to cars sometimes. I’ve been working hard with a personal doggie trainer to help me overcome some of my fears. To help me find my forever home, Zoe’s is offering to reduce my adoption fee to only $200 and will cover 3 one-on-one sessions with my trainer!
How’s my Health?
I am spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and dewormed.
**Co Pilot Program: my adoption fee is $200 and this includes 3 - one on one sessions with her positive reinforcement trainer. ***
