Rescue Story:
My owner passed away and sadly no one was able to take me. So, I came to Zoe's and they are helping me find my retirement home.

I am shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, I am the sweetest Velcro dog you could ever want to see. I love to nap at my foster mom’s side and follow her around the house. Sometimes I try to climb into her lap, but she says I’m too big for that (I’m not sure I agree). I love to play; a game of fetch in the backyard is my favourite, or I can show off my soccer skills. I also spend a lot of time napping – a mature lady needs her beauty sleep, you know. I am not comfortable going for walks, so a fenced backyard is a must so that I can get some outdoor exercise. I didn’t like my foster mom’s puppy at first; now I kind of want to play with her, but I don’t like it when she jumps all over my head (who would!). I would probably be fine with calm older dogs who will give me space, or as an only dog. I am looking for my retirement home, so if you would like to spoil and pamper me for the rest of my life, please put in an application for me!
About my Behaviour:
I don’t know a lot of commands, but I’m very good at figuring out what my foster mom wants from me, and I live to please! My house training is perfect. I am not crate trained, but I am happy hanging out in an x-pen; it gives me a safe and secure place to call my own. In a home with no icky puppies to get in my face, I would be fine left loose in the house. New people (mainly men) and new experiences sometimes scare me; I need lots of space and time to get comfortable, and a family who will have the patience to let me move at my own pace. I’m not reactive, I just freeze or try to escape, but I deserve a home where I will feel happy and safe!
How’s my Health?
I have been spayed, vaccinated to date, dewormed and micro-chipped. I need to lose a little bit of weight, and will benefit from joint supplements. My teeth are pretty worn down. Other than that, the vet said I’m very healthy!
