Rescue Story:
My siblings and I came to Zoe's when we were born outside to a feral momma cat. A kind person took us and our mom in but, mom was feral and Zoe's had no room to intake her too. I guess they are really low on adult cat fosters sadly. The plan was just to TNR mom and have the caretaker feed her and provide an insulate home when she was trapped again, but she tested positive for FIV. Another rescue was able to take her in and Zoe's took one of their foster cats in exchange. We were very shy but are now ready for our forever homes!

It’s my world and you’re living in it. I’m the first to attack a toy, the first to yell for dinner, the first to snuggle. I’m absolutely fearless and completely filled with love. I love playing so much, sometimes I just purr while I chase the string toys around and around. Once I’m done playing though, I love cuddling on your legs as I recharge my kitten batteries. #gingerboi
About my Behaviour:
I would need a home with another young very cat friendly cat to play with me. After slow proper introductions of course. I love to play with other kitties, especially my siblings so I would not be ok as an only cat. If you have no other cats you must adopt me with a sibling. I would be far too annoying towards a senior kitty so I need a young cat buddy. I would love to be adopted with Cilantro though, she is very shy and as a big brother I would love to protect her and help her settle into a home. She just needs confidence!
How’s my Health?
I am fixed, micro-chipped and up to date with vaccines. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration as it's very important.
I tested positive for FIV on a snap test, but my quant pcr test was negative. The vet feels it is highly likely that I am shedding the virus and that it is unlikely that it will stay. Kittens born to a FIV+ mom will have the virus but can shed the virus and by 6 months old be completely virus free. Snap tests aren't always reliable either (false negative/positives are common) but the quant pcr test is. You can do a snap and/or quant pcr test at 6 months of age for peace of mind. Even on the very rare chance I still have the virus, the only way the virus is spread to other cats is through very deep bites. Though the vet strongly feels that I will be FIV negative, Zoe's wants adopters to be aware of the slim possibility it could stay positive.
