Milo Ventimiglia | Male | Hot Mess Love Bug (DSH) |
Rescue Story:
I was originally adopted through the EHS, but my owner moved. The EHS asked Zoe's to take me in as I had some health issues that required extra care and they didn't have foster placement for me. I am now ready for adoption.
Date of Birth: September 2018 (might be older)
Energy Level: Low
Size (adult): Small
Adoption Fee: Zoe's special! Donate whatever you wish!
Good with Dogs? Maybe
Calm, gentle dogs who would leave me be I might be fine with. No prey drive at all!
Good with Cats? Very specific cat(s) only
I might be just fine with another very mellow, cat friendly cat.
Good with Kids? No
Too much noise and commotion scare me. No kids would be best.
Critter Twitter:
I am the sweetest boy, with the sweetest face. I love to cuddle, and I make the cutest grunt sound when playing. I love to lay my head on your hand while sleeping. I am pretty much your shadow. Where you go in the house, I follow. Except when I am watching my favourite show, Cat TV. I am very happy to tell you if you need to feed me or brush me. I firmly believe having open communication to others needs is important. That's why I am happy to indulge you with cuddle time to keep you warm. I heard cat purrs are therapeutic and good for heart health, so I will be sure to provide you with plenty of that. I have the cutest racoon walk, and I can't wait to be your heart cat. #lovebug
About my Behaviour:
I am a pretty mellow guy, but I do get stressed due to change, loud noises, or commotion. Even just screaming on the phone or at the TV because the referee doesn't seem to see an obvious pently scares me. Indoor voices only, please. Oh, and sticking to a routine is important to me. I am not a fan of strangers coming over (stranger danger), preferably you would go over to their house instead. Or at least, not more than one friend who understands my needs.
No plants, even fake plants as I try to eat them. It's a texture thing more so than a food thing. Cat grass, however, or catnip is great!
I should be fine with low-key, calm, very cat-friendly cats with slow, proper introductions. With dogs, it would depend, honestly. I cannot run or jump, so for my safety, I would only be ok with dogs who are very calm, and very cat-friendly. Loud noises can be scary, so hopefully not a yappy thing.
I would love to be adopted by a homebody. I really love having people around as much as possible. A calm, Zen home with someone with a huge heart that wants to take on a special needs boy like me.
How’s my Health?
I am fully vetted. I am a bit of a hot mess; I have facial deformities, as well as stiff back legs. Because of these issues, I have special needs.
I am unable to chew food at all as my jaw isn't aligned properly. I can't even drink water on my own. I must be fed wet food four times a day with added water.
I do have issues with constipation that will need to be monitored (just making sure when you scoop my litter boxes that there is poop there). I am on medication to help keep me regular. It's possible that I have some nerve issues in my hind end that hamper my ability to poop without the help of medication. Food allergies can also cause constipation, so it's important I stay away from any food that is an allergen. Sometimes I do leave some skidmarks, as I am not the best at cleaning my back end.
I have had issues with peeing outside the litter box due to stress. It's likely I have FIC, which means stress causes inflammation in my bladder, which makes it painful to pee. Keeping my stress down is all that's required to prevent future issues.
I do require medication for my eyes, daily drops that help prevent any infections. I do have some partial blindness and request night lights to make it easier for me to see at night. At least in important areas like where my litter boxes are.
