Rescue Story:
I came to Zoe's after being attacked by other dogs. I was in pretty rough shape with some bad wounds but I have healed up and am ready to find a family to call my own. I am currently staying at a boarding kennel and am available to foster or adopt.

Energy Level: High - I am happiest with daily exercise and mental activities
Size (adult): Medium (approx 60lbs)

Good with Dogs? Maybe
I get along well with easy going dogs who are about the same size as me.
Good with Cats? Unknown
I have barked at the cats I've met but may be ok with slow introductions.
Good with Kids? Yes
I'm still working on my manners but will be fine with supervision.

Hi, I'm Mendes! I'm a sweet and playful young dog who can't wait to find a family to love and spoil me. I'm a nice medium size and have these adorably huge ears that everyone says are irresistable. I may have had a tough start to life but that hasn't stopped me from living life to the fullest. I love to play with humans and am good with other dogs who are similar in size to me. About my Behaviour:
I'm still a young dog who will need to continue working on my training but I'm a fast learner! I can be selective with my doggy friends and do best with playful, easy going dogs who are around the same size. As a condition of adoption, we must register in a force free training class for puppies but Zoe's will reimburse the cost of the course. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! How’s my Health?
I came in with wounds after being attacked by other dogs but have healed up well. I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.
