Rescue Story:
Louella means beautiful warrior. And that is exactly what I am. My story from when I was found begins on Hwy 43, outside of Valleyview....lying in the ditch between two lanes of a busy highway. Half dead, freezing and drenched to the bone. I was really nothing more than a bag of bones. I was injured. What can only be called may hero saw me, turned around, got out of their car and spent the next 45 minutes at the side of the highway waiting for a dog to choose to live. What began from there is pure love.

I was found with bite marks from my head to toes. I had a broken hip which required surgery. Today, I am on the road to a successful recovery. I continue to gain weight, though I will never be a big dog. My hip continues to improve and strengthen. I can run and play and jump and eat and sleep. I am a well-adjusted dog that has lived the last 2 months in the company of 2 smaller dogs who I get along well with.
About my Behaviour:
I am respectful of around food, good in the car, kennel trained, leash trained and house trained (with regular bathroom breaks). I know sit, down, wait, leave it. I am gentle and smart and have a very sweet disposition. I will lay at your feet and sleep for hours.
I am scared walking in traffic but do fine on the more residential streets.
How’s my Health?
I need a family and a home that will continue to spend time training me and growing me into the beautiful girl I am. I will likely always have a funny gait due to my hip but that does not stop me from doing anything. If I gets too much exercise, I might need a little massage on my hip #allthepets
I am spayed and vaccinated.
