Rescue Story:
Zoe's is helping my foster family find my forever home
**As a courtesy post Zoe's has not met "Lola-Blue", we facilitate the adoption behind the scenes to ensure a safe rehoming. We make sure the animals are vetted but do not personally know the animal. It is the adopters responsibility to do their due diligence - ask for vet records, get the microchip changed, potentially involve a force free trainer for an assessment and/or ask for a trial period.**

Critter Twitter:
Hi, I'm Lola! I'm smart, affectionate and hyper! My owner died and I am looking for an environment to best suit my needs as I need a lot of exercise and loves. I am looking for someone who lives in a house with a yard neighbourhood. A calm household environment would be best for me where I can kick back and relax with you after (or before) our daily adventure. I love walks, playing tug, fetching the lacrosse ball, cuddles and chewing my elk antler. I can be leash reactive with dogs and unsure of new people but I warm up quickly and once you earn my trust I am loyal and affectionate. I do not like when new people are too loud or “big” and in my face. I am actually a scary-dog at heart. I have doggy friends but prefer them to be outgoing and friendly and need a slow introduction (pack walks) to start. My loose leash walking definitely needs some work but I am eager to please.
About my Behaviour:
I am house trained, crate trained and super food motivated. I do well being left to roam freely inside the house. I know my basic cues (sit, down, recall, place and I always wait for you to tell me when I can eat my breakfast or dinner). I would be happy with someone who is home a lot, who I could sit, cuddle and play with me, take me for adventures or teach me new tricks - I am smart and learn very fast. I need someone who is experienced with dogs and will be firm in maintaining boundaries in a calm and loving way.
*Note: Lola-Blue was previously trained with methods that don't align with Zoe's force-free requirements and her adopters must agree to use force-free methods going forward. To assist with this we will include 2 free training classes with one of our trainers to help with her transition.
How’s my Health?
I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations and microchipped.
