Hi, Joni here! I’m a happy, very energetic young girl looking for a foster, or foster to adopt. I just want my family who will love me forever.
Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am super smart and love to be challenged with mental activities. A lot of people don’t realize that dogs need mental stimulation as much as physical exercise. I’ve tried agility and love it! I am very quick to learn, and I need someone who will be patient and consistent with me. I really love to be outside playing and I love my walks, and am still learning how to be polite on leash and not react when I see other dogs.
Just a heads up, when I start to become comfortable with you, at times I want all of your attention and will demand bark and paw at you until you give me the attention I want. We can work with a positive reinforcement trainer to help me work through this and not behave like a demanding toddler at times! ❤️?
The wonderful people at Zoe's will provide full support with a positive reinforcement trainer, and include a set of agility classes for me. They know I am a complete sweetheart who just needs someone to take a chance on me, and is willing to be patient and work with me.
About my Behaviour:
I am house trained and crate trained. I can sleep in my crate at night, but I also would love it if you let me cuddle with you while you sleep. I’m a really great sleeper! It’s a good idea to keep me in the crate while you’re out as I love to explore if I’m bored.
Overall, I really am a sweetheart and I love to cuddle with my people. Please take a chance on me... I need love, consistency, patience, and a few rules as I get so over excited at times!
**UPDATE - November 15, 2019** Hi - Joni here ... I am still looking for my people - where are you? I am so full of love that I want to shower on that special person/family that will not give up on me. Do I need some help with a few things? Yes! But I think we can all work on some self improvement - and I am MORE than willing to do that with you. I am SUPER SMART! 🙂 I love Zoe's - you know what? They see the potential in me, and love me so much, that they are willing to waive the adoption fee, and also provide the following:
- 6 weeks agility course with K9 Misfits ( I LOVE agility!!! and great opportunity for us to bond)
- 5 one on one sessions with a positive reinforcement trainer with K9 Misfits
- 5 days paid boarding at K9 Misfits
The song "I'll be home for Christmas - you can plan on me...." keeps running through my head. I hope with all my heart that means I WILL be home with my new family by Christmas.
