Rescue Story:
I came into care to find my forever home!
Date of Birth: 2008
Energy Level: Low
Size (adult): Small
Adoption Fee:
Good with Dogs? Yes
I'm doing pretty well with the other dogs in my foster home but I have a hard time since I can't see very well.
Good with Cats? Unknown
Good with Kids? Unknown
I would probably do better with older kids, young children might be too overwhelming for me.
Critter Twitter:
I'm not only cute, but sweet as can be! #cuddlemonster #cutiepatootie
About my Behaviour:
I'm still learning how to deal with my vision loss, sometimes I bump into things, but I'm learning how to get around a bit better. I'm low energy and LOVE to snuggle. I'd live a very happy life if I had someone to snuggle on the couch with! I'm really great in my crate at night, or if you're going out of the house for a while. I'm a very sweet boy, and I know you'll fall in love with me if you give me the chance!
How’s my Health?
I have cataracts due to uncontrolled diabetes, so I've had vision loss and I can't see much of anything anymore. I get insulin shots twice a day, and I'm currently on antibiotics twice a day to prevent a urinary tract infection. I'm not too big, only 5kg at the moment, but I'm skin and bones. I need to fatten up! I'm also on a special food at the moment, to help control my diabetes. I just got eye surgery and now has some sight, I am far sighted in one eye. My special food and medicine cost is over $200/month.
Due to my medical needs, I am now a part of the co-pilot program. My adoption fee is $100, and if you bring me to one of Zoe's partner vets, they will offer rescue rates for me and a free vet exam!
I will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered before adoption.
