I am a sweet spunky gentleman and I love to spend time with people. I can be a little timid and maybe a tad suspicious with new people at first but once I realize they just want to be my friend I absolutely love everyone I meet.
I have mastered the art of walking with three legs and enjoy going on short walks to sniff as much as possible around the neighbourhood. I am super smart and love learning new tricks.
I would love to tag along on your adventures out in the big world and when its time to relax I like having a safe space in my home like a cozy closet where I can curl up with my favourite blanket.
About my Behaviour:
I walk well on a leash but I am working very hard on my resource guarding and on-leash dog reactivity. I might need a couple of tips to teach me to be comfortable with staying home alone. Before you adopt me it is mandatory that we sign me up for positive reinforcement training through the Alberta Force Free Alliance ( www.albertaforcefreealliance.com ) so I can continue becoming the most confident and “goodest” boy I can be! I have quite a bit of separation anxiety that will need further training to help me overcome my fear of you not coming back to me. Because of this I would be best suited in a detached home only as otherwise it might upset your neighbors.
How’s my Health?
I am recovering from a pelvis fracture and doing very well! Upon adoption I will be microchipped, vaccinated & neutered. Although I only have three legs it hasn't slowed me down and I truly think that is what makes me so special 😉, I am a healthy boy with lots of energy and so much life ahead of me!
