Rescue Story:
I was surrendered to Zoe’s because my owner did not have time to take care of me. I spent a lot of time tethered on a short leash, which is why meeting new people sometimes makes me nervous. I must have received some love during my journey to Zoe’s, because I have great manners and a lovable playfulness in my heart.
Date of Birth: 2013
Energy Level: Medium - I love running and playing fetch, but will sleep the day away afterwards.
Size (adult): Medium
Adoption Fee:
Good with Dogs? Unknown
No small dogs. I would be best as the only dog, or with a balanced, older male. A meeting would be necessary to make sure we get along. I will need lots of help socializing, because I didn’t do much of it at my old home.
Good with Cats? No
I will need a home without cats.
Good with Kids? Yes
I am good with kids, but would do better in a home with older kids who might understand my nervous behaviour.
Critter Twitter:
I am a super goofy girl who loves belly scratches and naps. My foster parents say I have excellent manners and I am a delight to have around the condo. When I am outside, I will do anything for you to throw the ball for me. I love to play fetch and I will sit and wait patiently for you to throw it again and again. My parents say that I’m a very smart girl. I bet I could learn to do just about anything if you’re willing to teach me.
About my Behaviour:
Sometimes I get nervous when being introduced to new people, so we are working on building my confidence. It’s very important that introductions go slowly in order to ease my anxiety. It helps if I am outside and playing with a toy (since that’s my favourite thing to do!) I’ve got a lot of love and cuddles to give if you’re willing to be patient with me.
How’s my Health?
I am spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
I do have some skin allergies that my foster parents are investigating at the moment. Hopefully we will figure out soon what it is that’s making me so itchy. I have one brown eye and one blue eye that looks different from the other! This may mean that I have limited visibility in one of them, but we’re not sure yet. It certainly does not bother me or slow me down from catching the ball, but it may also contribute to being a little nervous around others if I have trouble seeing them properly.
