Critter Twitter:
Well! I am the most classic definition of puppy. I like to play, play, plaaaay with my sister Ella. When I’m awake, I want to chew and chomp on everything! My foster mom gives us lots of toys to play with, all different materials, sizes, smells, textures and sounds and encouraged us to chomp on those! The toys definitely help when I want to chomp on mom’s hands/hair/feetsies/clothes. I am food motivated so I am a QUICK learner. This also means that mom had to work super hard to differentiate my mealtime from hers, so I don’t beg! I’m not super cuddly yet because all I want to do is play, but my foster mom thinks I’ll calm down one day. I would do SUPER well in a house where I can play with another dog. If you want a playful, energetic guy who loves to learn, please apply for me!
About my Behaviour:
I am crate trained, my foster mom says “Go in my house” and I walk right in. I always get a little reward for going in, which is awesome! I am house trained. My sister and I began being house trained when we were 5 weeks old and we caught on really fast. I will need lots of positive reinforcement and redirection to help with my desire to chew on everything. I am just learning my voice, so sometimes I bark in excitement, but if mom ignores my barking I will stop. I want to continue learning my manners with puppy classes too, I know I’ll be a great student because I’m so smart and willing to learn!
As a condition of adoption, we must register in a force free group training class for puppies. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers!
How’s my Health?
I am neutered, microchipped, dewormed and will have my vaccines up to date. I was 15lbs at 9 weeks old, so I will be on the higher end of large size.
