Critter Twitter:
My name is Columbina and I have a story to tell. As you can see I am missing an ear. Unfortunately, this was done by a cruel being and a machete...something that is sadly all too normal in my old home of the Dominican Republic. I was one of the lucky ones that had a team of loving volunteers working together to transport me here to Canada to find me my furever loving home. I have been in Canada for a few months now and I am fitting in nicely in this new environment. I don't even try to jump away from the snow anymore! I love my people and with some tender loving care and patient guidance, I know I can be a wonderful doggy addition to your home.
My foster mama tells me I would love training classes, cuz I'm a good listener.

About my Behaviour:
It took me a good month to really watch my new people to ensure they are nice and I won't get hurt again. Now that I know they are kind, gentle, and patient I trust them and follow my people everywhere. I love the tug and chase game. I would like another resident dog to hang and play with. I am house and crate trained. My foster family lets me out on a regular basis but when I need to go out again I'll sit by the door til they notice. Shesh! Because I had to fight for my food back home I will guard my food from the other dogs so my foster mama hangs out with us while we eat ... I catch on fast so I'm relaxed now and enjoy my meals.
I love car rides (that's because I'm going to hang with my friends at daycare) and I'm told I walk 'beautifully' on leash.
How’s my Health?
Spayed, micro chipped, dewormed and vaccinated. My vet gives me two thumbs up!
