Cilantro Seasoning | Male | Street Kitty (DSH) |
Rescue Story:
My siblings and I came to Zoe's when we were born outside to a feral momma cat. A kind person took us and our mom in but, mom was feral and Zoe's had no room to intake her too. I guess they are really low on adult cat fosters sadly. The plan was just to TNR mom and have the caretaker feed her and provide an insulate home when she was trapped again, but she tested positive for FIV. Another rescue was able to take her in and Zoe's took one of their foster cats in exchange. We were very shy but are now ready for our forever homes!

Good with Dogs? Unknown
Never met one, so not sure. But I am quite shy so probably not.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
Especially cat friendly cats and proper introductions. Another very cat friendly kitty will help me settle in more quickly.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older calm kids who would be very gentle with me and not so hyper. If any.
Critter Twitter:
I’m kinda shy. If you catch me, I’ll let you hold me. And I’ll ever purr when you give me just the right scritches (I love my shoulders being scratch) but I’m a bit nervous of new people and sudden movements. I love playing with the string toys with my siblings, especially ones with feathers, so watch out birds! After we’re comfortable together, I’ll even sit next to you on the couch on a comfy blanket. But I just need a little time to get to know you first! #shybutohsosweet
About my Behaviour:
I need a very calm, quiet home that is understanding about shy kitties. I will take awhile to settle in, but become your little lovebug once I have.
I look to other kitties to help me see that it is safe. It would probably be best I be adopted to a home with my sibling or to a home with another very cat friendly cat who can help with my confidence. I might be ok as an only cat as long as your willing to take it as slow as I need to adjust to a new home, and will adopt a 2nd kitty if I seem lonely.
How’s my Health?
I am fixed, micro-chipped and up to date with vaccines. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration as it's very important.
I tested positive for FIV on a snap test when I was just brought into care, but my quant pcr test was negative. Snap tests are known to be false positives, and kittens whose mom has FIV will always test positive, but many kittens can completely shed the virus. Since I was negative on the PCR test it's highly suggestive that it was either a false positive or I am beating the virus! I haven't been sick at all in care so it's likely that I have beat the virus. You can always do a snap test if you like for peace of mind. But the vets strongly feel it's likely that I have beat the virus.
