Captain Morgan   |   Male   |   Ginger Cat Boy (DSH)   |

Rescue Story:

I was adopted to a home with William in 2015, unfortunately due to severe allergies of a young child we had to be returned to Zoe's. We are eagerly awaiting our forever retirement home where we will be loved and spoiled.

Date of Birth: July 7, 2015 (est)

Energy Level: Low

Size (adult): Large (13lbs but not fat)

Adoption Fee: Zoe's Special. Donate what you wish!

Good with Dogs? Unknown
I have never been around any. Maybe if very cat friendly and won't bother me I might be ok. It's hard to say.
Good with Cats? Very specific cat(s) only
I get along just fine with William, but I am very selective about my cat buddies.
Good with Kids? Unknown
Older kids if any as I am shy initially.

Critter Twitter:

I am one big boy. Not chunky, I am just a bit of a bruiser in size. But that just means there is more of me to love! Once settled in, I am a huge lap cat. I am not really playful, but that may change once I am more comfortable in my home. I may take a bit to settle in, but I am well worth the wait. I promise I will wrap my paws all around your heart, and I will never let go! I am very much an attention-seeking cat who loves to cuddle often. Given my size, I am a nice weighted blanket, and the purring makes me even better than those blankets! #sosweet

About my Behaviour:

I am a bit shy, and I will take some time to settle in. But once I do, I am yours forever. I won't just betray you to your guests, I promise!

I would be just fine being adopted with William. In fact, if possible, that would be great, as we have been together for so long. But we aren't bonded, so it's not a must. I prefer having my space, so we get into a bit of an argument from time to time, like old man friends. But as long as you have plenty of cat trees for us and a nice warm lap for me, we will happily be adopted together.

I am not sure how I would be with other cats; I might be ok if the other cat is a senior who will also leave me be. And you have lots of resources (cat trees and litter boxes). I have zero trouble yelling at another cat to get off MY cat tree. I am a tree sweller, so I love my tall cat trees. What can I say? But, preferably, ones that are easier on my joints to get up and down. I am not a spry chicken anymore. And I wouldn't like any young whippersnappers bugging me, though. Not at all. As long as they respect my space and won't pester me, with slow, proper introductions, I may be ok with other cats.

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. Wet food is very important to a kitty's health, so be sure to feed me at least one meal of wet food a day. It helps add much needed moisture for my kidneys and bladder health. Scheduled meals is best to help us form a strong bond and regulate my food intake.
