Rescue Story:

My story isn't a nice one, but I just know it will have a happy ending! I was an outside dog who had puppies before I was ready. After having a litter of puppies during a -40 night, my owners no longer wanted to keep me. I won't go into the sad details of what they were going to do, but luckily Zoe's stepped in and saved me. They are going to find me a wonderful furever home.

Date of Birth: May 2017

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): Medium - 50 lbs.

Adoption Fee:

Good with Dogs? Yes
I need a slow introduction, but I think I would like a calm doggy sibling to play with. One who is gentle and doesn't overwhelm me.
Good with Cats? Yes
I didn't take much interest in the kitty I met. They can do their thing and I'll do mine.
Good with Kids? Yes
I met a baby and I was very calm around her. I just liked to watch her.

Critter Twitter:

I am adjusting to life as a loved dog! My foster Mom says I have made huge improvements in my short time with her. I am still nervous to be touched by new people, but I am learning to trust quickly, considering I wasn't treated well in my past life. I am very, very smart and I like to maintain a lot of eye contact with my human so I can try to understand what she wants from me. I like to lay in my open crate and snooze but I also love time in the yard to bound around and sniff. I have quickly learned the house rules, including going outside to do my business. I have some separation anxiety but I'm not afraid of the crate at all. I like to rest in there with a warm blanket and a kong full of peanut butter. I also like to listen to music when I'm alone. I have come so far in such a short time - my foster Mom says she knows with the right family, I would be just the perfect pet. I am gentle and loving and I just want to please you. Won't you apply to adopt me today? #secondchance#sweetheart

About my Behaviour:

I pull on my leash while I'm being walked because I get concerned when I hear cars or loud sounds. My new family will have to continue teaching me walking etiquette.
I am working on my separation anxiety. I worry that my human won’t come back and cry if I'm feeling confined. After I adjust to my new home, I will be a wonderful dog that can be allowed to roam free in the house. I only chewed once (a leash and a towel), but I was crated and became bored.
I am smart and I think that I would be easy to train to learn lots of tricks if my new owners spend time the time with me!

How’s my Health?

I am spayed, micro chipped and vaccinated.
