Because Bass | Male | Blue Eyed Manx (Manx) |
Rescue Story:
My "brother" and I were strays out on a reserve who no one claimed. Well we might not be blood brothers (Zoe's isn't so sure) but us bass kitties were found at the same time. We were fixed but no micro-chip sadly. We are now ready for our forever homes.
Date of Birth: February 14, 2021 (est)
Energy Level: Medium
Size (adult): Medium
Adoption Fee: Zoe's special! Donate whatever you wish!
Good with Dogs? Maybe
I heard dogs and I wasn't scared. If very calm and won't bother me, I should be ok.
Good with Cats? Yes
Especially cat friendly cats and proper introductions. But I would be fine as an only cat.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Only older kids who are understanding of my pain and are very gentle.
Critter Twitter:
I am one stunning cat with the cutest little bobtail ever. I am quite shy initially but through love, brushing and understanding I have made big milestones in my foster home. And she's been telling everyone! I had some serious fear of people, most likely I wasn't in the best home prior. But I have started to find the joy of chin scratches and the sound of a gentle voice. I am quite the talker, but I have a tiny meow which is quite surprising from such a big boy. You'd think it was from a kitten and not me! I love to play but I also have my chill moments. I have become quite the very affectionate cat now my pain is less. I love to be petted and spend a lot of time cuddling with you. #sohandsome #whyadoptmebecauseyoulovemethatswhy
About my Behaviour:
I require a calm home that is understanding of my initial shyness. Once settled in though, I am a huge love bug.
Older kids would be best if any, only ones who understand shy cats and their behavior. I do have manx syndrome and pain due to it so they would have to be gentle with me. I am not mean but I would hide from them.
I am great with other cat friendly cats with proper introductions, but I would also be just fine as an only cat.
How’s my Health?
I am fully vetted. I do need at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Dry food fed only can lead to health issues like UTIs, diabetes and obesity. (I wasn't fat ok, I prefer the term floofy). Luckily I do like my wet food. I do have manx syndrome, x-rays showed a deficit in my spine and mid-back area (hence the back hump). The base of his tailbone actually looked like it had crumbled. It’s far enough back that even amputating my tail wouldn’t help. I must continue my pain medication as it has helped me have a new lease on life. I am so much more happier now, I even jump! And I love being petted and cuddled with. Zoe's will provide you with any medication that I have left.
