Rescue Story:
I originally came to Zoe's as a mama dog with my puppies about 5 years ago and was adopted out. Unfortunately my adopter is unable to continue caring for me and I'm looking for a new home.
Date of Birth: 2016
Energy Level: Medium - I like a good play but also know how to chill
Size (adult): Medium (approx 55lbs)
Adoption Fee: $425 But can you really put a price on happiness!
Good with Dogs? No
I can be reactive around other dogs so would do best as the only dog in the home.
Good with Cats? Yes
I am curious but should be fine with dog savvy cats and slow introductions.
Good with Kids? Yes
With proper introductions and respectful playing, I should be fine with kids.

Hi I'm Aretha! I'm a sweet, loving and gentle girl who adores the company of humans...they always seem to have tasty treats. I love to curl up with you on the couch and will 100% be in your lap if you allow it. As long as I get some exercise and mental enrichment I am happy and well behaved in the home. I am currently fostered with two cats and am curious of them (they like to hide from me) but would likely be fine with confident, dog savvy cats. Do I sound like your dream dog? About my Behaviour:
I can be fearful reactive of new dogs when we're out on our walks but I've been working hard at this with my foster mom and am getting more comfortable. To ensure we keep seeing progress my adopters would need to sign up for 3 private sessions with a force-free trainer.

I am spayed up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.
