Rescue Story:
I was found in the Southern Alberta countryside when I was very pregnant. I had likely been abandoned, but due to my wonderful personality, I had lots of visitors who fed me until a wonderful family took me and my new born kittens in and kept us safe and loved. It took some time to make sure I was healthy but now that my kittens and i are a little bit older, we are all ready to find homes of our own!
*As a courtesy post, Zoe's has not met Amber Gibbs. We facilitate the adoption behind the scenes to ensure a safe rehoming. We make sure the animal is up to date on vet care and spayed/neutered - Zoe's does not personally know the animal. It is the adopters' responsibility to do their due diligence - ask for vet records and microchip information to have it changed*

I haven't met one yet, but I'm not phased by dogs walking by my windows. I might be fine with cat savvy dogs that won't chase me, after proper introductions of course.

I would love to have a companion to keep me company - maybe even one of my kittens!

As long as they are gentle and play with me.

Hello world, I'm Amber! I'm looking for a home with people to love me as much as I love them. I give lots of loving eye contact, purrs, and leg rubs. I'm finally able to live the way I was meant to - safe and happy. I'm a pro at running and leaping to catch whatever toy you have! I love to play and wrestle with my kittens, and playing tag with people is one of my favorite activities! I look to my people when I'm unsure, so they can tell me if I'm safe before I jump into a new activity. I really trust my favorite humans. I can entertain myself with fun toys or snoozing in the sun, but I am happiest with my people or my kittens around to keep me company.
About my Behaviour:
I'm a wonderful, well rounded young girl. I could be fine as a solo-cat, however I would really love to be adopted with one of my kittens (Cocoa, Fetti, Stripey, or Blackie) or go to a home with another young, playful, cat-friendly cat. If I'm a solo-cat, I would need at least two play sessions a day to keep me busy and lots of enrichment to work my brain.
How’s my Health?
I'm spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and am up to date on my vaccinations.
I currently eat 3 meals of wet food a day. Wet food is incredibly important for a cat's health - it helps add much needed moisture for my kidneys and bladder health. Scheduled meals are best to help us form a strong bond and regulate my food intake. I have a sensitive tummy and do best with wet food only right now, however I'm trying to add little bits of dry food to see if I can adjust.
